Projects
For my undergraduate career I attended Arizona State University
where I earned a BS in Psychology with honors from Barrett, the Honors College.
Beginning in December 2003, I began working in Dr. Conrad Stress Lab, where my
research focused primarily on understanding the different morphological and behavioral
effects seen following chronic stress. Then in January 2006, I began working on my senior
honors thesis, which investigated the sexual dimorphism in the influence of chronic corticosterone
and estrogen treatment on hippocampal function and morphology.
Currently as a first year graduate student in the Klintsova lab, I am beginning work on my first
year project. My research here focuses on gaining a better understanding of the damaging
morphological effects that ethanol exposure has on a still developing brain and exploring routes
to ameliorate this damage.
